The Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia will host its annual 40 Hours devotion Nov. 29 to Dec. 1. The theme of the devotion is preparation for the Year of Mercy.
The schedule at the cathedral follows:
Sunday, Nov. 29
11 a.m. — Mass and exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the basilica
12:30-6:30 p.m. — Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (time for personal prayer)
6:30 p.m. — Mass in the basilica
Monday, Nov. 30
12:05 p.m. — Mass and exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the basilica
1-7 p.m. — Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (time for personal prayer)
7 p.m. — Solemn vespers with benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament
Tuesday, Dec. 1
12:05 p.m. — Mass and exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the basilica
1-7 p.m. — Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (time for personal prayer)
7 p.m. — Solemn vespers with benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament
