All are welcome to a talk on the Year of Mercy at St. Stanislaus Parish, Lansdale, on Tuesday, March 8 at 7 p.m. The parish’s parochial vicar, Father Philip Forlano, will present his talk in the Parish Center, located in the building behind the church at Lansdale Avenue and Main Street (Route 63) in Lansdale.
Father Forlano will present a Scriptural reflection on mercy and Pope Francis’ declaration of the jubilee Year of Mercy. He will provide an overview of the pope’s view of the importance of mercy, and describe the various ways that our parishes and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are offering opportunities for us to participate more fully in encountering God’s mercy in our daily lives – through the sacraments, prayer, special devotions, faith enrichment, and the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
There is no cost to attend and registration is not required. Light refreshments follow the presentation.
