Archdiocesan high schools and Catholic elementary schools in Philadelphia will be closed Thursday, Feb. 9 due to expected heavy snow in the region.
Forecasters are calling for four to eight inches of snow for the region by the afternoon, with most of it coming in the morning-commute hours.
Archdiocesan high schools and grade schools in the suburban counties normally follow the decision of their corresponding local public school district and announce their closure status independently of Philadelphia.
