SS. Simon and Jude Parish, located at 10 Cavanaugh Court in West Chester, will host a mother-daughter tea on April 22 from 1 to 3 p.m.
The seventh annual gathering, to which teens from ages 10 to 13 are welcome, will provide an opportunity to learn more about God’s designs for human fertility.
Age-appropriate talks will review the physical changes of the body, the functions of the female reproductive system and the sacredness of human life. Development of healthy relationships with a strong emphasis on modesty will be discussed. Presenters will provide practical tips on how to live out the call of womanhood, with an emphasis on respect, understanding and appreciation for God’s gift of fertility.
The purpose of the program is to provide an atmosphere of love and learning to discuss the important topic of growing up and beginning to establish a foundation for continued learning. There will be guided discussion and a question and answer session with health care professionals trained in the Creighton Model Fertility Care System.
