Unlike his encyclical (“Laudato Si” on the environment) and his previous apostolic exhortation (“The Joy of Love”), this March document has not received a lot of coverage — perhaps because it talks about using the “ordinary opportunities in life” to grow in holiness (not so controversial but nonetheless vital). The first session will attempt to capture the high points of the Pope’s teaching, setting the stage for the participants’ reading the document for themselves. (It is only 40 pages and copies will be

distributed.) Two weeks later, the second session will be an opportunity to discuss and share questions on what Pope Francis has to offer.
