A Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated Sept. 23 at St. Albert the Great Church, Huntingdon Valley, in honor of Mother Alphonse Maria Eppinger, founder of the Sisters of the Redeemer.
The 19th century nun and founder of the Sisters of the Redeemer order was beatified by Pope Francis earlier this month. He attributed a healing miracle that took place on May 29, 1955 to her intercession. Read about her life, her mission and the work of her sisters today in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, here.
