Event Description
We may think of prayer as thoughts or feeling expressed in word. But this is only one expression. In the Christian tradition, contemplative prayer is considered to be the pure gift of God. It is the opening of mind and heart– our whole being– to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words and emotions. Through grace we open our awareness to God, whom we know by faith is within us, closer than breathing, closer the consciousness itself.
The Centering Prayer Workshop consists of this one-day program and 4 (2
hours) weekly follow up sessions. Bring a brown bag lunch. Drinks will be provided.
Presenters: Roseanne Havird and Eric Frankhouser are each Contemplative Outreach Ltd. presenters. Roseanne is a member of Sts.
Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Chester and Eric is a member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Harleyville.
