The community of the Newman Center for the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University gathered recently for the blessing and dedication of their newly renovated four-story center at St. Agatha-St. James Church in Philadelphia’s University City section. The blessing and related events preceded the Oct. 13 canonization of St. John Henry Newman, founder of the Newman Clubs worldwide, and the 125th anniversary of the Penn-Drexel center, the first in America.
