Event Description

Engaging Classic Religious Traditions in Spiritual Direction This workshop attends to guidelines for spiritual direction as provided by some of the major Christian traditions including the Benedictine, Franciscan, Ignatian, Carmelite, Salesian, and selected Reform perspectives. Both the theological assumptions and the spiritual themes inherent in these classic traditions will be brought to light.

This program is oriented for spiritual directors who are willing to bring their experiences to the workshop so as to facilitate the integration of these Traditions into their own practice of spiritual direction. A contemplative attention to this dynamic will contribute to personal conversion and ministerial enrichment.
