Catholics can make Monday of Holy Week special by watching the annual Chrism Mass not on its traditional day on Holy Thursday morning but tonight, April 6 at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia.

Because of public restrictions from the coronavirus pandemic, Archbishop Nelson Perez will be the celebrant and homilist for the private Mass. He will bless the holy oils used in parishes in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, though they will not be distributed during the current crisis.

He will also lead priests in the archdiocese in the renewal of the their priestly promises in a remote manner as they participate online from their homes.
