St. Maron Maronite Catholic Church, located at 1013 Ellsworth Street in Philadephia, will host a take-out weekend from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 18, 19 and 20.

Menu items include a range of freshly prepared Middle Eastern dishes, such as kabob, kafta and shawarma platters; chicken and falafel sandwiches; hummus, baba ghannouj and stuffed grape leaves.

Among the desserts are maamoul, an ancient and still very popular type of filled shortbread cookie.

Entrees range from $8 to $15, with family size platters available for $30 to $100.

Walk-in orders will also be accepted throughout the take-out weekend.
