A series of talks on evil, sin and conscience titled “The Devil Made Me Do It” will be offered by Norbertine Father Joseph Serano on three Thursday evenings in February at Daylesford Abbey, 220 S. Valley Road in Paoli.
The series runs Feb. 10, 17 and 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The priest will explore three topics: what traditionally is called the “the problem of evil” (how can you believe in the goodness God in the midst of all the evils in the world?); the complexity of sin (its layers and dimensions) and the force of conscience (our moral compass as we seek to be our best selves).
Since the talks are cumulative and complementary, it is recommended (though not required) that participants attend all three sessions — each of which will allow ample time for questions, comments and discussion.
A free will offering will be accepted, although if you wish to join for dinner at 5:40 p.m., $15 is requested per evening.
