The St. Peter Respect Life Committee of St. Peter Parish in West Brandywine is sponsoring a retreat for school-age young women to discuss what it means to be a young, dynamic, Catholic woman in today’s world.

The retreat will introduce St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and what it means for your life.

“Wonderfully Made: A Theology of the Body Retreat” recommended for girls in seventh, eighth and ninth grades will be held Friday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. through Sunday, Feb. 6 at noon at St. Mary of Providence Center, 227 Isabella Road in Elverson.

The retreat leader is Samantha Kelley, a young Catholic woman trained in teaching the Theology of the Body and the founder and president of FIERCEAthlete.org.

The speaker is Marie DiCecco, a high school health educator speaking on “Women’s Health in Conformity with Theology of the Body.”

The retreat will include small groups, Mass, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and time for confession. The priest ministering at the retreat will be Father David O’Brien, campus minister at Lansdale Catholic High School. Several Sisters of Life will serve as small group facilitators.

The cost of $125 per person, with scholarships available, includes meals each day.
