Junior Oliva Boccella scored 20 points and senior Gabby Casey added 18 points and 10 boards as top seed Lansdale Catholic earned its first-ever trip to the finals of the PCL Girls’ Basketball Championship following its 53-39 semifinal win over No. 4 Archbishop Carroll on Tuesday evening at the Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of Saint Joseph’s-University City.

The Lady Crusaders will face No. 2 Archbishop Wood which earned a dramatic 31-29 victory over third seed Cardinal O’Hara on senior Deja Evans’ basket at the buzzer. Evans led the Lady Vikings with 19 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks in the win. Carly Coleman (10 points) paced the defending champion Lions on the evening.

The finals of the 2023 PCL Girls’ Basketball Championship will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at The Palestra.
