The Archbishop’s Ministry Support Fund was established in 2020 to provide financial assistance to ministries and initiatives identified as critical to the life of our local Church.

The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP) established the Archbishop’s Ministry Support Fund in 2020 to provide financial assistance to ministries and initiatives identified by Archbishop Pérez as critical to the life of our local Church.

The fund awards grants to organizations and programs across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia that focus on spiritual and temporal nourishment meeting the needs of our community now and into the future.

During the past year, the Archbishop’s Ministry Support Fund awarded a grant to the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) organization. Without that funding, it would not have been possible to found a chapter in the Philadelphia region. YCP is the nation’s most prominent young professional Catholic network, with chapters in 28 cities.

This Fund also supported The Culture Project as it sought to establish a strong presence in the Archdiocese.  The Culture Project was founded by Ms. Cristina Barba Whalen, a graduate of Archbishop John Carroll High School. This ministry has a track record of proven success in locations throughout the country and is an initiative of young people set out to restore culture through the experience of virtue.

“This newly established Fund has already created a vehicle of hope for future generations of our faith community,” said Archbishop Pérez.

Those interested in supporting the fund can do so through one time or recurring donations; pledged gifts over a period of time; electronic fund transfers; cryptocurrency; gifts of appreciated securities; matching gifts; and planned gifts.
