Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will preside at Solemn Evening Prayer on Tuesday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Saint Martin of Tours at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in thanksgiving for the ministry of Most Reverend Timothy C. Senior to the people of the Church in Philadelphia in advance of his departure to lead the faithful of the Diocese of Harrisburg as their 12^th bishop. 

All are welcome to attend the Solemn Evening Prayer. Immediately following, an open reception will be held in the Eakins Room, which is located in the Seminary’s College Division Building.

On Tuesday, April 25^th Pope Francis named Bishop Senior as the 12^th Bishop of the Diocese of Harrisburg. Founded in 1868, the Diocese of Harrisburg is home to over 200,000 Catholics from 15 counties in central Pennsylvania.

He will be installed as the bishop of that diocese on Wednesday, June 21^st by Archbishop Pérez within the celebration of the Holy Mass at Saint Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg.
