Any agency of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is collecting diapers and other baby care items for our neighbors in need and you can help.

Catholic Social Services and the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia are teaming up to host “Philly’s Biggest Baby Shower”.

The public event, which is set for Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center in Center City, will distribute collected items to expecting mothers and families in need.

Amy Stoner, Director of CSS’ Community-Based and Housing and Homeless Services Divisions, says the agency is committed to “offering vital pregnancy and parenting support services” throughout Greater Philadelphia.

“The donated items will be provided directly to new and expecting mothers providing them with the essentials necessary to care for their families in the best way possible.”

In 2022, 6,400 clients across the five-county metropolitan area received pregnancy and parenting services from CSS. Some 10,300 diapers and baby items were also distributed to families in need.

Those interested in supporting CSS can purchase diapers, wipes, and more online by visiting here.

Items can also be donated directly by emailing Stoner at astoner@chs-adphila.org.
