The Northeast Family Service Center (NEFSC), a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, hosted a giveaway event Nov. 21 to provide full Thanksgiving meals for families in the local community. Students from Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls joined NEFSC staff to help distribute dinners to local families. With additional support from local organizations including Philabundance and the office of Philadelphia City Councilmember Mike Driscoll over 45 families received full Thanksgiving meals.
