Join the American Catholic Historical Society on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Society House for a lecture about the book “Great American Prophets” written by Dr. Daniel Cosacchi.

The day will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the lecture at 7:00 p.m. During the lecture, Dr. Daniel Cosacchi will discuss the background of how his book and Pope Francis’s historic address to Congress came about. In doing so, he will also touch briefly on some of the figures in the book, with an eye towards how we might all become “great American prophets” in our own time.

Dr. Cosacchi serves as the Vice President for Mission and Ministry at the University of Scranton. He holds a PhD in Christian Ethics from Loyola University Chicago. He previously held positions at Marywood University and Fairfield University. In addition to Great American Prophets, he is co-editor of The Berrigan Letters: Personal Correspondence Between Daniel and Philip Berrigan (Orbis Books, 2016).

Pricing for the dinner and lecture is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. If you wish to attend the lecture only via Zoom, it is free for members and $10 for non-members.
