More than 150 clergy, religious, and lay faithful from throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will rise early on the morning of Tuesday, July 16 and journey to Indianapolis for the 10th National Eucharistic Congress July 17 – July 21.
The National Eucharistic Congress, an initiative of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, is a highlight of the three-year National Eucharistic Revival movement.
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will lead the Philadelphia delegation which includes Bishop John J. McIntyre, Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald, Bishop Keith J. Chylinski, Bishop Christopher R. Cooke, and Bishop Efren V. Esmilla, members of the Archdiocesan Eucharistic Revival Committee, members of the Hispanic and Migrant Catholic Communities, and members of the African American Catholic Community of Philadelphia.
A delegation from the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia will also travel with these Archdiocesan pilgrims.

In a video message posted to his Facebook July 10, the archbishop said he’s “filled with great joy” ahead of the historic congress. He invites those not able to attend to follow along virtually on his Facebook page.
At the 10th National Eucharistic Congress, faithful from across the nation will gather to experience renewal with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
Speakers for the event include Bishop Robert Barron, Emmy Award winning television host and Bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Chairman of the Board of the National Eucharistic Congress and Bishop of the Diocese of Crookston, Cardinal Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, and more.
The archbishop is encouraging all local Catholics to join him in prayer for our pilgrims and to “ask God to bring everyone closer to His Son in the Blessed Sacrament.”
