The Archdiocese of Philadelphia invites faithful to join Archbishop Nelson Pérez on a week-long pilgrimage throughout Italy to honor Blessed Carlo Acutis and observe his canonization.

The pilgrimage will be facilitated by the Archdiocese in partnership with the Malvern Retreat House and ProRome Tours. It will take place Apr. 23 – 29, 2025, with an optional extension to Assisi from Apr. 29 – May 1, 2025.

This pilgrimage features accommodations at the five-star Westen Excelsior in Rome, as well as a flexible touring program to accommodate all ages. Highlights include the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis in Saint Peter’s Square, the Papal Basilicas and Holy Doors, the Catacombs, the Pantheon, and more.

On Monday, Dec. 9 Malvern Retreat House will hold a Mass and info session on its campus for those interested in the pilgrimage. Mass will be celebrated by Father Stephen DeLacy, Vicar for the archdiocesan Office of Faith Formation of Youth and Young Adults and trip chaplain, at 6:00 p.m. An info session with ProRome Tours leadership will follow at 7:00 p.m.
