Sister Mary Dacey SSJ, (formerly S. Michael Francine,) age 77, died on January 16, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late Michael and Frances (nee Larkin) Dacey, she attended St. Peter Grade School in Belleville, NJ and Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.

In September 1964 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1972.

Sister Mary ministered in the dioceses of Philadelphia and Trenton.

She is preceded in death by her sister Margaret (Harry) Burbank, and sister-in-law, Gail Dacey. She is survived by her brothers Michael Dacey and Mark (Carolyn) Dacey, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and the members of her Congregation, The Sisters of St. Joseph of Philadelphia.

Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
