Sister Cynthia Ludwick SSJ, (formerly Sister William Josephine), age 91, died on February 2, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa.

The daughter of the late William and Josephine (nee Killar) Ludwick, she attended public grade school and West Chester High School.

In September 1955 she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1963.

Sister Cynthia ministered in the dioceses of Camden, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Jane Land Achey and Estelle Ward. She is survived by her loving nieces, nephews, and the members of her Congregation, the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia.

Visitation by relatives and friends will begin at 9:30 am on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. A Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Services will be livestreamed from the Saint Joseph Villa website www.stjosephvilla.org.
