Archbishop Ryan High School named Jimmy Dillon as its new head girls’ basketball coach.
The Northeast Philadelphia high school made the announcement March 24.
Dillion is a 1996 Holy Ghost Prep graduate and a former Pennsylvania State Senator. He played basketball professionally in Europe after completing a four-year collegiate basketball career at the University of Notre Dame.
“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to be the next varsity girls’ basketball coach at Archbishop Ryan,” said Dillon.
A lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia, Dillion is also the founder and president of Hoops 24-7 Basketball Academy, where he has mentored and developed young athletes for nearly two decades.
“I look forward to building a culture that our players, families, school, and community can be proud of. It’s a privilege to work with the incredible young women at Archbishop Ryan – past, present, and future. Thank you to the administration and athletic department for this tremendous opportunity. Let’s go AR!”
