Irish traditions and heritage were celebrated on Sunday, March 16 as hundreds marked St. Patrick’s Day with Mass and an annual parade.

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez served as the principal celebrant and homilist at the 2025 Saint Patrick’s Day Commemorative Mass at Saint Patrick Parish located at 20th and Locust Streets in Philadelphia. Father Kevin Gallagher, Pastor of Saint Denis Parish in Havertown and Parade Chaplain, concelebrated the Mass. Simon Harris, Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as Helena Nolan, Consul General of Ireland in New York, also joined for Mass. Liturgical music was provided by the Bishop Shanahan High School Choir and cantor Karen Boyce McCollum.
