See scenes from Aug. 17 as Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez celebrated Mass and commissioned nine young adults as missionary disciples after they completed the Young Adult Missionary Discipleship Initiative (YAMDI). Spearheaded by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Ministry with Young Adults, YAMDI is a formation program that helps young adults encounter Christ, grow as His disciples, and become missionaries in the Church.

The evening began with a special meeting and dinner with Archbishop Pérez, followed by Mass and a commissioning blessing. Joining the archbishop were Father Stephen DeLacy, Vicar for Faith Formation of Youth and Young Adults, and Father Timothy Tarnacki, OSPPE, director of the Office for Ministry with Young Adults.
