The Archbishop’s Commission on Racial Healing will host its inaugural Mass for Racial Healing at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 500 E. Chelten Ave., Philadelphia.
Auxiliary Bishop Efren Esmilla will celebrate the Mass, which will bring Catholics together in prayer for racial healing and reconciliation and celebrate the cultural diversity of the Catholic Church.
The event is organized by the Archbishop’s Commission on Racial Healing, whose work is guided by the call of the Catholic Church works to confront racism and promote greater unity among people of every race and culture.
