Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez is calling Catholics to deepen their commitment to the dignity and sanctity of every human life in a new video message marking Respect Life Month.
In the message, the archbishop reflects on this year’s theme, “Mary, Mother of Life,” and emphasizes that the call to defend life begins with the unborn and extends to people who are vulnerable at every stage of life.
“We must accompany the poor, the hungry, the sick, the immigrant, the elderly, and those who are marginalized,” Archbishop Pérez said. “Each life reflects the image of our Creator and is deserving of love and protection.”
The archbishop encourages the faithful to unite in prayer and work to ensure that every life is “cherished and uplifted” throughout the year.
