See scenes from the Oct. 5 Anniversary Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa honoring the life and legacy of Bucks County teenager Maria Middleton who died Oct. 8, 2020 at age 18 from complications of an inoperable brain tumor. Archbishop Nelson Pérez celebrated the Mass, joined by Maria’s parents and family, friends, classmates, and supporters gathered in prayer and remembrance.
Earlier this summer, Archbishop Pérez was formally presented with a petition seeking to open a cause for canonization for Maria in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
