St. Agnes Parish in West Chester marked the 100th anniversary of its present church building Oct. 18 with a closing Mass celebrated by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, who served as the parish’s pastor from 2009 to 2012. He was joined by pastor Father Louis P. Bellopede, clergy, religious, and parishioners.

Founded in 1793, St. Agnes dedicated its present church in 1925. The Gothic Revival structure was inspired by Henry VII’s Chapel at Westminster Abbey in London. Among the projects undertaken ahead of the anniversary was the the refurbishment of more than 100 original kneelers dating to the church’s dedication.  (Photos by Sarah Webb)
