Archbishop Charles Chaput celebrated Mass for about 100 religious priests, sisters and brothers in the Philadelphia Archdiocese who are marking anniversaries of 25 years or more in religious life Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.
This year 253 jubilarians in the archdiocese are celebrating their anniversaries. The 210 sisters, 37 priests and six religious brothers represent a combined 14,600 years of consecrated life. Included in this year’s honorees were more than 40 religious men and women who have served 70 years or more.
The archdiocesan Office for Consecrated Life sponsored the Mass at the cathedral.
