Vincentians celebrate 170 years in Philadelphia with gala

An Oct. 10 gathering in downtown Philadelphia will honor the order's work in the city and feature dinner, awards and entertainment.

Historic graveyard hosts tour, clean-up session

Friends of St. Joachim Cemetery in the city's Frankford section will gather on Aug. 17 to learn more about the final resting place for more than 2,400 souls, most of them Irish-Catholic immigrants. Volunteers will also trim back shrubs and reminisce over soft pretzels.
