Sister M. Margaret Elizabeth Jones, I.H.M.

Sister M. Margaret Elizabeth Jones, I.H.M., died Aug. 8 in Camilla Hall, Immaculata, in the 73rd year of her religious life. She was 96 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1944 from St. Teresa Parish, Philadelphia, and professed her vows in 1947.

Sister Margaret Elizabeth taught in the elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and in the Diocese of Allentown. She also served for 20 years as an elementary school librarian. Her last assignment was at Camilla Hall Nursing Home in the Apostolate of Prayer.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 14 at Camilla Hall. The celebrant and homilist was Msgr. Joseph Logrip. Also concelebrating were Fathers William Dean and Anthony Rossi.

In addition to her congregation of I.H.M. sisters, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Harry Bradley, and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Clark Jones, her sisters, Margaret McLean (Benjamin) and Patricia Bradley.
