Sister M. Eileen Drummy, C.S.F.N. (formerly Sister Michael Eileen), died Aug. 11 at Mount Nazareth in Philadelphia at the age of 69 in the 42nd year of her religious life.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the third child of James and Virginia Drummy. She was baptized Eileen Therese at Immaculate Conception Parish. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in September 1975 and professed her final vows in January 1985.
Her early assignments included the library at Holy Family College and the office at Nazareth Academy. She also served as a teacher at Our Lady of Calvary School in Philadelphia.
Sister Eileen ministered in health care as a coder in medical records at Nazareth Hospital for more than 30 years.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 17 at Mount Nazareth Chapel in Philadelphia. Interment was at Community Cemetery also in Philadelphia.
