St. Francis of Assisi School, Springfield, Delaware County, plans the following events:
Monday, Jan. 28
Community Appreciation Day — Children will write letters to local businesses, police and fire officials, and ambulance corps thanking them for supporting the school and community.
Tuesday, Jan. 29
Faculty and Principal Appreciation Day — Students will tour our science fair and in the afternoon watch a movie with their prayer partners. Teachers will have a special lunch prepared for them.
Wednesday, Jan. 30
Parent Appreciation Day — Students will make a “thank you” gift to their parents who will receive it at our open house that night. We will also have our science fair winners posted and our scholastic book fair up and running.
Thursday, Jan. 31
Student Appreciation Day — Students may dress down, will receive a free pretzel, have no homework and will play games in the gym during the afternoon.
Friday, Feb. 1
Priest Appreciation Day — Closing of Catholic Schools Week Mass at 9:30 a.m.; gifts presented to priests during Mass.
Assembly at 1:30 p.m. with Ronald McDonald visiting to kick-off the Read for Ronald Program, supporting the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia.
