Last June the Archdiocese of Philadelphia created the Office for Life, Family and Laity, with Steven Bozza as director, to lead the local Church’s efforts in those areas. The office represented a consolidation of former offices and personnel.
One year later, the office is undergoing another evolution. Starting July 1, it will be reconfigured into two new, distinct offices: the Office for Life and Family; and the Office for the New Evangelization.
Bozza will be the director of the Life and Family Office, while his associate director, Meghan Cokeley, becomes the new director of the Office for the New Evangelization. Mary Cullinan will be the program coordinator for both offices.

The Office for Life and Family (phone: 215-587-5661) will continue to support the ministries of respect life, marriage and family life, as well as the Department for Pastoral Care for Persons with Disabilities/Deaf Apostolate. Sister Kathleen Schipani, I.H.M., continues as administrator of the department.
The Office for the New Evangelization (phone: 215-587-5630) will include the following ministries: evangelization, adult faith formation, lay ministry and the Courage Apostolate.
New websites for the offices are expected to be developed soon. Information about their respective ministries is still available at the website of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, www.archphila.org.
