The pastors of two Bucks County parishes welcomed students back to school and blessed the new sign on the front lawn of St. Katharine Drexel Regional Catholic School on Sept. 5.
Msgr. John Marine of St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland and Father William McGeown of Assumption B.V.M. in Feasterville led the festivities at the school along with newly appointed Principal Laura Clark.
The school is the product of a merger of the two respective parish schools, plus students from St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Richboro, in 2012.
St. Katharine Drexel School forms leaders through academic excellence, personal discipline and Christian service to one another and the community.
The school is located on the grounds of St. Bede Parish and includes full-day kindergarten, classrooms for grades one through eight, a computer lab, LabLearner science lab, library, art room, cafeteria and gymnasium with a stage for the performing arts.
All classrooms are equipped with SMART Boards, projectors and high-speed Internet access. Netbooks, laptops and iPads are a part of daily instruction.
