The 25th annual Ukrainian Folk Festival will be held Sunday, Aug. 28 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at the Ukrainian American Sport Center, Lower State and County Line Roads in Horsham.
The festival, celebrating 25 years of Ukrainian independence, features performances by Ukrainian orchestras, choirs, dance ensembles and soloists, as well as live reenactments of Ukrainian history by the Banner of Jasna Gora. The festival’s theme is “United Ukraine — United With Us.”
Live music and dancing, plus concessions, the Vendors’ Grove and fun children’s activities begin at at 12 noon. The outdoor festival concert begins at 2 p.m. until 4:30, when social dance (“zabava”) with live music in traditional, modern, contemporary, ballroom and polka styles continues until 8 p.m.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students; children ages 14 and under are free. Free parking is also available.
