Seventeen men received the ministry of lector during a Mass on Saturday, Sept. 16 in St. Martin’s Chapel at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood. Auxiliary Bishop Edward Deliman was the main celebrant. The lectors, who will proclaim the Word of God in the church’s liturgical celebrations, include four seminarians in formation for priesthood for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and five seminarians for four other dioceses, plus eight candidates preparing to be ordained permanent deacons for the archdiocese.
