Sister Mary Ann Miller, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Marie Peter), age 83, died Dec. 14 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown.

The daughter of the late John and Bertha (nee Schaffer) Miller, she was born in Allentown, Pa. and attended St. Catherine of Siena Grade School and Allentown Central Catholic High School. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in September 1951 and professed her final vows in August 1959.

Sister Mary Ann ministered in the dioceses of Allentown, Arlington and Scranton and the archdioceses of Philadelphia and Washington.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 19 at St. Joseph Villa.

She is the sister of Anna Yurko and the late Arlene Janenko, Dorothy Kloss and James Miller and the sister-in-law of Joseph Yurko and Lorraine Miller. She is survived by members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
