Sister Francis Annice Lunney, S.S.J. (formerly Jane Marie Lunney), died May 21 at age 84.
Daughter of the late Francis and Sarah Lunney, she was born in Bayonne, New Jersey and attended St. Mary Grade School and Holy Family Academy in Bayonne. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in September 1952 and professed her final vows in August 1960.
Sister Francis ministered in the archdioceses of Philadelphia and Newark, and the dioceses of Arlington and Patterson.
She is the sister of John and the late James, Francis, Eugene, Joseph, Hilary, George and Leo Lunney. She is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and members of her community, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The funeral Mass was celebrated May 25 at St. Joseph Villa.
