Sister Dana Elise McCambley, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Charles Andrew), 79, died Jan. 5 at St. Joseph Villa. She was in the 58th year of her religious life.
The daughter of the late William and Muriel McCambley, she attended Corpus Christi Grade School and John W. Hallahan High School in Philadelphia.
In September 1961 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1969.
Sister Dana ministered in the archdioceses of Philadelphia and Washington and the Diocese of Patterson (N.J.)
She is survived by Sister Anne McCambley, S.S.J., Rosemary Conners (Jack), Carla Ortegon (Pedro), Maris Fowler (Mark), Joseph McCambley, Ellen McCambley, the late William McCambley and the members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Religious, relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. A funeral Mass will follow at 3 p.m.
