Devon Preparatory School’s second annual Coaches vs. Cancer basketball tournament will tip off Saturday, Jan. 4 and run the floor until Saturday, Jan. 11.

The tournament invites numerous school grade school and high school teams at varsity and JV levels competing in 27 games, concluding with host Devon Prep playing Roman Catholic High School at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 11.

That game will be preceded by a ceremony honoring Devon Prep’s 2019 state champion baseball team.

Food, raffle prizes, 50/50 tickets and shirts will be available. All proceeds benefit the Coaches vs. Cancer program, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Coaches nationwide help to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities and advocacy programs. Since 1993, coaches have raised over $100 million for the American Cancer Society.
