Bishop Edward Deliman celebrated the Mass for Religious Educators Jan. 19 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in which he presented about 175 teachers in Parish Religious Education Programs in the Philadelphia Archdiocese awards for their dedicated service as catechists in categories ranging from five years to 45 years. Ann Menna, deputy secretary for catechetical formation in the archdiocese, received the Pope Paul VI Award for Catechetical Leadership, the ceremony’s top honor.
