Sister Stella Catherine Lotz, S.S.J. (formerly Sister Irma Teresa), age 89, died Feb. 9 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown.
The daughter of the late Edward and Stella Soboleski, she attended St. Joseph Grade School in Hallowell, Pa. and Little Flower High School, Philadelphia.
In September 1954 she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Chestnut Hill, and professed her final vows in 1962.
Sister Stella ministered in the archdioceses of Philadelphia and Newark, and the dioceses of Camden and Harrisburg.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine, and is survived by nephews, niece, grandnieces and grandnephews, many cousins and dear friend Sister Mary Berryman. She is also survived by members of her congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Funeral services were held privately Feb. 16. Donations may be made in Sister Stella’s name to St. Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
