The Archdiocese of Philadelphia will honor 138 distinguished scholars from 33 archdiocesan and private Catholic secondary schools throughout the five-county region at the 41st Annual Academic Honors Convocation on Tuesday, May 18 in the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul.
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will be the main celebrant of a Liturgy of the Word preceding each of two ceremonies held at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The two ceremonies will allow for social distancing and for each student to attend with two guests. Watch both ceremonies via livestream video here.
Providing liturgical music will be members of this year’s All Catholic Chorus under the direction of conductor Thomas Kuchler, director of performing arts at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills, and accompanied by organist Mark Loria of the Cathedral Basilica.
