What are the challenges and triumphs of lay ministers in the Catholic Church? Archbishop Nelson Perez will lead a video discussion on that topic for a national audience with the Philadelphia Archdiocese’s Matthew Davis, director of the Office for Ministry with Young Adults, and Marisally Santiago, director of the Office for Ministry with Youth.
The video conversation will be available here through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops beginning Monday, May 17. It is the fifth part of a series of webinars and testimonial videos titled “Co-Workers: Bishops and Lay Ecclesial Ministers in Conversation.”
The series aims to affirm the contributions of lay ecclesial ministers in the church through conversations between bishops and lay coworkers about the landscape of ministry today.
It was launched by the bishops’ conference in partnership with the USCCB’s Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, and the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame.
