St. Patrick Parish in Malvern broke ground on a new Early Childhood Education Center Oct. 10. Following morning Mass, Bishop John McIntyre joined Father Chris Redcay, parish pastor, along with school principal Patricia O’Donnell and parishioners for the ceremony. Construction begins in November on the new center that will include eight new state-of-the-art classrooms hosting St. Patrick’s youngest students — preK 3- and 4-year-olds, the school’s Kindergarten students and students of the Parish Religious Education Program. Some of the young children and PREP students joined in the groundbreaking along with the project’s campaign chair, parishioner Will Mongan, and representatives from the construction firm C. Raymond Davis. (Photos by Megan Schuster)
