Sister of Mercy Margery Lowry (formerly Sister Mary Inviolata) died July 24 at age 79.

She was pre-deceased by her parents John and Mary Katherine (Quinn) and her siblings. In addition to her religious community, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sister Margery was the co-founder of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. The outreach reflected her love for the children of North Philadelphia, and her desire to provide them the very best in educational opportunities.

A viewing was July 29, followed by a funeral liturgy in the Convent of Mercy Chapel at 515 Montgomery Ave., Merion, PA 19066. Burial took place in the Sisters of Mercy community cemetery.
