See scenes from this year’s Dec. 24 Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at the Mother Church of the Archdiocese, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, as Catholic faithful prepare to celebrate the Birth of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Archbishop Nelson Pérez was celebrant and homilist for the Mass. During his homily he asked children what they asked from Santa. One little girl replied to see her dad who is in the Ukraine. The archbishop then led the congregation in a Hail Mary for those in the Ukraine. (Photos by Sarah Webb)
